Iberia - Connection Question for MAD
 

Howdy folks,

No idea where to ask...but here's my question:

We're connecting (with checked bags) as follows:

FCO-MAD two hours later we go MAD-JFK

Can anyone give me a heads up on:
a. What to expect?
b. Will I be collecting and rechecking bags?
c. Anywhere to eat?
d. Any other thoughts?

We'll be in business class on both legs (A321 on the first and A340 on the second). Family trip - wife and kids...

Oh, one last thing - we're all on business tickets, but only I have status (AA EXP) - any lounges?

You'll have access to the IB Sala VIP lounge in MAD, dunno about FCO.
