Wide-Body FA

Are weight restrictions enforced after someone becomes a seasoned FA? I remember sitting within an aisle seat when my right shoulder was broadsided by a FA with wide hips. I thought it was dislocated. She kept on walking and never said sorry; I know she knew she struck me but maybe too embarrassed to say sorry. I had a friend years ago who applied at AA to be a FA. She went down to Dallas for the training but was disqualified eventually being she was 5'2" and five pounds over the ideal weight. My friend got a much neater body without wide-body hips as that lady that struck me.

which airline was this? I think most of thr western airlines that are unionized don't have age, weight etc restrictions. AC has a lot of fat and old ones.. I've had my feet stepped on, rolled over, etc.. and my head got hit by something once.. whilst i was sleeping.. Aisle seats can be quite dangerous.. :D

My original carrier turned around due to heavy snow in Chicago where I had to make a transfer. Then I was given a ticket for a direct flight the next morning on UA. I think aisle spacing between seats got narrower or the FAs got fatter. When I was younger they looked like models. Nice and trim. Attitude got bad now along with wider girth.

I remember flying on DL and having an FA whose hips didn't fit in the aisle. I find that FAs usually don't appologize when they touch you, while walking thru the aisle, no matter the body size. I don't think they should.... it's just how it is.

This thread has nowhere to go but down. A judgement call, but am locking this one up.
Thanks for your understanding..
