Competing pajamas

Many airlines hand out free pajamas to first and sometimes business class passengers. I understand that those are usually for keeps - the passengers do not have to return them to be laundered and given to new passengers, but are allowed to take them away and use later.

Passengers are also allowed to not use pajamas, or take their own.

Have you seen somebody wearing, or yourself worn, pajamas of one airline at a later flight with a competing airline?

I wore BA F pajamas in AA business class just last month.

Yes QF PJ's on QA and again CX PJs on QF. got some strange looks but in each case it has been because the airline I was flyinf did not provide any and I had a set from a previous leg.

Generally I would not bother but a suit and a overnight flight does not mix well.

Even better, you could wear the top of one airline, the bottoms of another, slippers of another, eye mask of yet another .... ;)

Quick, someone send me your paraphenalia and I'll do it on my next flight and take crazy pictures! EXTRA BONUS! It's a daytime flight, points for extra crazy!!

Awww that's so cute. Can I send you my pink lace eye mask with 'Wake me if you're sexy" on it? That'd have to earn you an upgrade!

The BA F ones are the best. I've worn them several times in AA F. On my last trip, the man in front of me was doing the same.

I wore SQ pajamas on a DL BE flight. If I'd only worn the pajamas that DL gave out I'd have been kicked off the flight! :)

Where do you change?

CopperSteve May 25, 2009 6:49 pm

I love the PJs from Air France and have worn them on DL and CO overnights. I do get looks from other passengers, but I believe this is more due to the concept of wearing pajamas on a flight, and not that I am wearing AF pajamas. I don't get it. Why not get comfortable for a 12-15 hour flight?

You say pink lace like it's a bad thing!

Heh, an upgrade, or possibly an armed escort from the plane if I went with the DL pjs.

And another bump (I'm sorry) :o

But I did this last month... wore EK PJ's on my CX F flight.

I did accept the PJ's although there was no chance of the shirt going on.

Slippers were nice though ;)
