Air Asia booking Problem
Hi,
I booked a ticket from melbourne to Kuala Lumpur on the Air Asia website 2 days ago. The booking timed out, yet money has been taken out of my account. I received no email, nor do I have a booking number. Contacting Air Asia seems to be almost impossible as the telephone line is in malaysia and has a terrible echo, and they don't reply to emails, and I need to resolve the problem soon as I'm travelling soon. When travelling by Air Asia do I need to show a booking number, or will having my passport and the credit card used to book be sufficient? Thank You. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
Here is a list of Air Asia call centres. They Australian call centre ph# 1300 760 330, Operating Hours : 10am – 11pm (GMT+10

When I booked a flight on european lowcost EasyJet, after pressing the submit button, I just got a blank page. Luckily, I did get the email and the booking reference on the email matched the EasyJet tranascation number on my credit card statement |
How annoying!
I've had the same thing happen, but I called up straight away and got it resent, no problems with the phone. I think that might be your only option, because you're right, I've never had an email replied by them! Good luck! |
Did you call their Australian number?
1300 760 330 (from http://www.airasia.com/site/au/en/pa...665150&nav=6-1) Out of my 6 or so AK flights last September, I honestly can't remember if they could look up my information without a booking reference number. Knowing AK, though, I'd do everything in my power to get that number just in case. They're all pretty friendly, but they do stick to the rules and I doubt they'd be much help if they couldn't find your booking. If you end up not being able to go, I'm sure disputing your charge with your credit card company (you DID pay with a card, right?) would result in a successful chargeback for you. Of course, that doesn't solve the issue of you actually needing to go. Other than contacting that number (or trying one of the numbers in another country, perhaps with Skype on your computer to reduce the cost of the call), I'm not sure what else to say other than best of luck! |
Go here and look it up on-line. https://www.airasia.com/StaticBookingPnr.php
If it doesn't come up there then I would not be confident unless you talk to someone on the phone. If there is a valid booking they can however look it up without a confirmation number if you show up to check in. |
