never got a yellow fever card!
 
I got my yellow fever vaccination in Mexico, but I was never given a card. Is there something I can do to get one?

Don't do this, it is dangerous to get another YF jab < 10 years after the first.

Welcome to FT. As for a YF card, you got the YF shot so you got the YF protection. Why do you need a YF card.

you need written documentation of it for entrance to some countries.

because immigration authorities (in places such as Brazil) might ask for proof , I as a matter of fact am due to get one to travel to Brazil

my wife who is an US-citizen needs it as well to get her visa

in this specific case, Brazil (As well as other South American countries) ask visitors from certain countries to be vaccinated

If I recall correctly, I didn't need one to enter Brazil (from the US), but I needed one to enter Singapore having beein in Brazil less than 7 days prior. YMMV.
