How Airline Meals Are Made
Airing today, in an hour from now (22 Feb at 4:30 PM, PT), and possibly later on in re-runs, is Episode 5 of How It's Made, featuring how airline meals are made, for those of you who wax nostalgic....

I think there's a communication breakdown between the kitchen and the FA regarding that careful placement and presentation they mentioned on the video!

thanks mbstone for posting this & xanthuos for the youtube links...
The part I found the most interesting is that the Captain & FO get different meals in case of contamination/food poisoning...

I thought that was the only interesting part of the segment. The rest was just stupid, wash hands, work on presentation, first class meal is more complex then coach.

A few shots in that program clearly show J class (Business / Executive First) food for Air Canada. The plates were the older style J servings, but it was distinctly an AC setting.

Interesting vids.. I thought it was interesting how the pilot/co-pilot eat different meals to minimize the chance of both of them getting sick.
one oddity was the cook flipped the chicken with his bare hand? why not use some tongs? seems kind of unsanitary..
