Forward looking camera

A number of years ago I was on an ANA flight where the IFE screens showed the pilot's view of the takeoff and landing. Interestingly, it only seemed to be on during takeoff and landing, but I suppose that these are the most interesting parts anyways.

Last week, a friend relayed to me that on Austrian Airlines they do something similar.

Personally, I think this is really cool! I wish all the airlines did this, or at least allowed it as an option on the selectable IFE.

Anyone know any other airlines which do this?

I had this experience on a JAL flight from NY to Tokyo a few years ago.

I believe AF offers it on their 773s, too.

This would be really cool for all aircraft. I know the concordes used to have a Map & Gauge type indicators showing speed & such.

Airlines probably realize that a lot of us would love this stuff (Face it we are all kinda Techno-Geeks) but the Pilot Unions seem to want to keep this stuff secret so as to bring any additional scrutiny to them.

EK on A345 (not sure what other a/c types)
QF on A380

NZ doesn't have a nose or tail camera, but does have google maps on landing and taking off

I believe AA had these cameras on their DC-10's but discontinued using them after the victims of the crash of AA191. Apparently the people on the plane watched their crash on the movie screen at the front of the cabin.
