Two Round Trip Tickets
 

My daughter will be spending her spring semester in Italy - from mid January to mid May. She has to come home for a family wedding in February. Is there a best way to book these flights - round trip Jan and returning in May and then round trip for her weekend home, or Jan returning for weekend, and then back to Italy and returning in May. I know it sounds confusing. There is probably a much better way of describing this!! Thanks

I would price out

Ticket 1 - fly out January, return May

Ticket 2 - fly Italy to here and back on the weekend

and

Ticket 1 - Fly our January, return for the wedding

Ticket 2 - Fly back after the wedding and return in May

And see which works out best. If doing the first one, it would have to be on different airlines, they don't like you nesting flights.
