Most number of classes on an airline?

I've seen 4. First, Business, Economy Plus, Economy on UA

That's the most I've seen too, at least for a given aircraft. Depending on distance, you could have domestic first class, international first class, business class, regional business class, etc.. But coach is always coach. :D

The other airlines that I know that have four classes (for a long range aircraft) are NH, BA, and JL. In their premium economy, there are footrests! :)

There might be more on the SQ A380s (diffrent types of F maybe)?

I used to think some had first class, coach, and then third class.

E+ is not a seperate class on UA.

Although I believe that BA has some flights with 4 classes: First, Business, WT+, WT.

we call it "cargo"

E+ on UA is in interesting situation. UA doesn't consider it a seperate class (it's part of the Economy cabin) but UA sells upgrades into E+ and usually prevents seat poaching.

What's that airline that has a suite on their A380? It's an actual room with a bed and everything. You gotta consider that a class too.

That would be SQ (Singapore Airlines), but they have "Suite Class" in place of First Class. They still only have three cabins on that plane.

Depends on your definition of class. As some have pointed out, UA's E+ is simply economy with more leg room. I would think that a spearate class implies a separate cabin. Eva has a true 4-class arrangement, including separate cabins and different meal service for their premium economy service (called economy deluxe). On Eva, ANA, and BA, the premium economy service has expanded seat width as well as pitch - UA only increases pitch.

Didn't BA used to have World Traveler, World Traveler Plus, Club, SuperClub and First on some Jumbo's?

Virgin Atlantic and Air New Zealand both also offer a true premium economy service, but only 3 classes overall.

Qantas has 4 classes too.

Yes some airlines have multiple versions of a class of travel, but personally I wouldn't count those as separate classes even if they are branded with a different name.

EVA started the trend some time ago.

True, but I thought BR was phasing F out with the 744s...so BR will be down to 3 classes soon
