Okay i am one of those people that snores/heavy breathes & whilst i appoloise for those travelling on the same flights as me in November, i would take offence at someone saying that to me. Snoring/heavy breathing is not something most px do deliberately to annoy other people & we would love to be able to stop.

I personally would be more annoyed by px constantly talking through a night flight or leaning on the back of your seat whilst waiting to use the bathroom.

Earplugs and sleep aid (optional).

guilty,
I snore like a warthog so does my HB, since we spend several days a week in different towns, earplugs or ipod is the only way for either of us to get to sleep,

You haven't seen anything yet. There was one time I was on a bus and this guy was happily snoring away on a seat with less legroom than that of an economy class plane, has no reclining feature (not unlike tour buses) and the seats are half height so you can't even lean back.

It's a miracle sitting 2 grown adults on those seats yet I'm amazed how some people can sleep so comfortably on those seats.

But you can stop.

By staying awake.

As an occasional snorer myself, I would be mortified to learn that I was keeping others awake and would welcome them bringing it to my attention. It would be unfair for my personal behavior, voluntary or otherwise, to inconvenience others.

Quiet/dark cabins are never guaranteed. Ultimately each of us is responsible for our own sound and light control. Want quiet? Bring ear plugs and/or NCs. Want dark? Have your own eye shades.

For < $1 you've just solved the snoring (and many other onboard) 'problem' once and for all! ^

Usually some music from my ipod with a good pair of earphones does the trick.

Maybe some of you have very good hearing, but I've never heard snoring ever without earphones on.

Funny thread, I am sure I have snored a few times myself, and that's why I always sleep with my noise-cancelling headphones on :D

You might want to try ear plugs, noise canceling headphones, a chill pill and more patience with your fellow travelers :D
