bored: Contribute your stats
 
Partially inspired by some previous threads asking about percentage of leisure travel we do, and because I'm a little bored, I'm hoping people would contribute their trailing 12 months to date total air mileage traveled for leisure,# of round trips for leisure, air mileage for business, # of RT's for business, and for fun (optional) number of miles and rt's traveled solely for MR's. I'm going to assume that the MR mileage/rt would also be included in the leisure mileage/rt. Estimates rounded to the nearest thousand should be fine.

I'll start:

Total business air mileage traveled past 12 months: 46,000
# of business round trips: 9
Total leisure air mileage traveled past 12 months: 12,900
# of leisure round trips: 1
0 miles and rt's on MR's

I only really started traveling a lot the past six months, so my numbers are pretty low looking back 12 months.

Hopefully a lot of people will contribute, then I'll toss the numbers in Excel and come up with some stats to see how crazy we are. :)

Not all flights are part of round trips.

Eg work takes you to A, and you need to be at B the following week (for work), you could take a mileage run A to B through C (and D and E and ... you get the idea) without returning to your home base Z.

My own records measure in terms of number of flights because trip or round trip becomes meaningless with my crazy schedule.

Okay. I was confused as the OP mentioned last 12 months.

My own YTD is about 170k flown miles, over 100 flights, mostly leisure.

I've spent 4-5 days a week since 1/1/08 on the road for work this year....endless business trips.
