Question about Hotel Price Matching
 

First of all not really sure where this belongs, but MODS please move if you feel necessary. Do hotels price match other hotel rooms? I'm a HH diamond, but for a corporate event we are booked at a Hyatt in IND. The closest price at a HH is over 200.00 bucks for a decent room. The Hyatt is offering us 160 / night. This is an event price I know, but just curious. Hampton down the street does have a room for 135 / night but it's a wall queen room.

It depends on the hotel. Sometimes they will ask for proof and will match it, other times they will tell you to have a nice stay at the other hotel.

You should call the hotel directly (not the 800 reservations people) and see if they are willing to match. Explain you are a diamond, prefer to stay with Hilton, but the corporate policy won't let you unless they can match the rate.
