Priority Pass
Saw a mention of "Priority Pass" in Valleywag today. It seems like such a logical idea; rather than buying one airline's lounge system, buy something that offers access to many airlines' lounges. On the other hand, most airline travel seems only loosely connected to logic, so maybe not.
Wondered if anyone on these forums has experience with Priority Pass. TIA. |
I got it for the first time a few months ago. Although mine was free through BofA this year, I was also considering paying for it. So far, I am delighted with it. You need to really consider your travel patterns, however, and also, whether you travel with guests. I dumped my UA RCC and AS Boardroom. The card is good in all AS Boardrooms, and a fair number of NON-HUB RCCs, but my UA travel is pretty limited now.

I've had a Priority Pass for two years now and like it quite a bit. I've used it primarily for international travel (as I've been living in Europe for the last three years) and occasionally in the U.S. I like the flexibility and the fact that I usually have multiple lounges to choose from in each airport.
On the down side, you have to pay for each guest ($27.00) and the lounges that PP contracts with may not always be convenient to the airline on which you are flying (different terminals, etc.) Overall, though, I'd recommend it. |
Had it free with my Amex for years now but never used it, now I've got no status with any Airline it's going to be a godsend this year !
