Where would you go?

I have the opportunity to go to two or three continental US cities. What would be your top three cities to go to in the US?

To the mods: This is not an MR request so please don't move it over to MR please and thank you.

Top 3

Here are my TOP 3 picks.

NEW YORK - Manhattan. I have lived there for 14 years and STILL have not seen everything.

SAN FRANCISCO - I also lived there and it's a beautiful city. The world's second most visited city after Paris. Tons to do and there are lots of side trips (Napa, Monterrey, Muir Woods).

LOS ANGELES - As much as I hate L.A. (mainly because of traffic and sprawl), there is a lot to do in L.A. and it's vicinity.

*I also enjoyed the following (in no specific order):

Seattle (Pike Street fish market and surroundings, Boeing, Microsoft, Starbucks)
Chicago (Sears Tower, Lake Michigan, Aquarium, Michigan Street)
Atlanta (Coca Cola, CNN, UPS, Olympics, Aquarium, Delta.
Washington D.C (Capitol, White House, Lincoln & Jefferson Memorial, Smithsonian Institute, Washington Monument, Georgetown)
Houston (Texas)
Denver (Colorado)
Salt Lake City (Utah)
Boston (the entire city)
Memphis (Elvis, Beale Street)
New Orleans (French Quarter)
Nashiville (Grand Ole' Opry)
Miami (South Beach, Zoo, Key West)
Sacramento (California, Old Sacramento)
San Diego (Zoo & Balboa Park)
Savannah (Georgia)
Charleston (South Carolina)
Las Vegas (Nevada)
Philadelphia (the entire city)
Austin, TX (Live music capital of the world, Dell)
Cleveland (Rock 'n' Roll hall of fame)

It REALLY depends on what you like.

NYC is a place everyone should visit once.
San Francisco is simply beautiful.
L.A. is just so overrated by it's SO Hollywood and Americana.

If you want proximity:

East Coast (NYC, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. or Boston)

West Coast (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas)

What do you REALLY want to see? It's a big country and every city has their own unique history and culture. PM me with any questions.:)

Safe Travels.

*I just realized you are from Orange County, CA.

So, I would suggest the East Coast cities (NYC, Boston, Philly, D.C.) or Southern Cities
(Atlanta, Miami, Orlando)

You can also do Orlando area (I live here). Orlando, Tampa, St. Pete/Clearwater & Miami.

Otherwise, my favorites are Nashville, Memphis, Chicago, New Orleans, Las Vegas and Denver!

Montreal, Toronto and Quebec Cities are also absolutely beautiful!

I would agree completely. However, realize that this itinerary will give a biased view of the country. You will leave wondering how we elected and re-elected George Bush. (This isn't a political statement, per se; just recognition that these aren't exactly Bush strongholds!)
