Is The End of Mesa In Sight?
Mesa's stock price hit a 17-year low earlier today, and the stock has been in steady decline for more than a year.
Meanwhile, Mesa has delayed reporting its FY 2007 financials until at least January 15. A big loss is expected to be reported. Is the end of Mesa in sight? More importantly, will anyone who has suffered their "service" shed a single tear? |
I think what is scarier is who or what will replace Mesa?
At least we are aware of all the issues with Mesa. It's similar to the annoying relative that comes to visit for the holidays. We all know what to expect. With the Mesa replacement.... it could be worse. |
How could it be worse? I say good riddance. If Skywest or GoJet wants to fill in their place, it can only be an improvement.

Since Mesa operates outside of the United system, this topic is being moved to TravelBuzz!

I've always wondered why RJ services operate independently. For instance, there is always talk how consolidation amongst the Big 6 (?) airlines would reduce overhead costs, expand operations and perhaps increase the loyalty base, etc. Why wouldn't UA want to outright own it's UX operations? (of course i realize that right now with the state mesa is in, perhaps it's not a good idea) I am sure there's a good reason for it, but I ain't no MBA. Perhaps someone can enlighten me... |

They fly shabby airplanes painted with the United colors, FA's wear United uniforms, and we earn United Mileage Plus miles. |
