Best airlines ad

Just out of my curiosity.:D
I wonder what is the best airline ad you've ever saw according to you??:p

For me it's the 1999 Qantas ad as you can see here.
Another one is 1989 British Airways ad in here.

I think both of the ads is one of the best ever.^^

British Airways

Va Pensiero, popularly known as The Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves, from the opera Nabucco, by Giuseppe Verdi

I loved those BA ads with that beautiful chorus.

The ad for Yorkshire Airways is rather good.

Here's a link with a couple dozen different airline ads...

Though I don't have a particular love for Qantas, the "I Still Call Australia Home" advertisements are awsome. When I went to school in Hong Kong, the "Qantas Choir" came to our school and sang it live for us. Awsome!

More information about the ad here: http://www.qantas.com.au/info/about/company/iscah

At the opposite end of the spectrum but not worthy of starting a seperate thread: Worst Ad. (No Hijack intended. Figured it was close enough to lump in)

The current Korean Air ad is rather disturbing. Particularly the scene of the woman putting an envelope in her mouth (what happened to S.W.A.K.?) then cutting to a scene of a man holding a champaign bottle to his crotch and the cork popping.

If there's some airline analogy, I'm missing it.
In the mean time, Korea, please leave the 'high art' to Air France.

The JetBlue "This isn't rocket science" ads were pretty clever.

Qantas is clever - and masterfully produced - but too "I'd like to buy the world a Coke" to suit me. Anyway, airlines selling destinations rather than service and amenities do so at their own peril (remember TWA?)

BA's bedding down in Central Park and awakening in Parliament Square does it for me.

Contrary to Flyertalk popular opinion, I find the 'Sky High Airlines' advert rather tedious. It's an unsubtle, overlaboured, one-joke campaign that has more than run its course... Maybe I've just been directed to the site one time too many.

I liked the British Airways commercials with a guy calling all his friends, getting their answering machines, and standing in the middle of Times Square yelling "where is everybody" and then this upbeat salsa (?) music came on and this voiceover in a strong British accent said "They're in London! With British Airways $99 fares" (or whatever it was). That commercial always made me laugh.

Hadn't thought about it for a long time... thanks OP for starting this post. ^
