Weekend getaway search engine
 

I've been searching though the links of travel sites in the Sticky above for something that will help me plan a weekend trip in a month or so, but I can't quite find the right thing.

I want to be able to search for the best value in fares to from a specific city within a certain flying distance. ie, from LAX within 2 hours flying time, what is the cheapest fare on a given weekend. Hopefully that is clear.

Basically the wife and I want to go somewhere we've never been before and dont really care where, on a certain weekend next month, but we are on budget for both time and money. And we are looking for a site that will show us our options.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Travelocity dream maps may help, you have to play around to see if the dates fit or not

and lastminutetravel, though you need to be closer to the date.

www.site59.com might be good. I think they limit to the next two weeks or so.

Thanks, none of those do exactly what I need but I will keep looking around.
