Hello friends.
Please give me some good destinations for a vacation on December 22 - 31.
Weather, lodging, prices, deals, etc.
1. I thought about Dominican Republic. Pros: all-inclusive, great weather, good deals from agents (around $1,500 on sale; $1,000-1,200 off peak, i.e. off Christmas-New Year), whereas on Expedia, etc. $3,000 for flight plus hotel, no food.
Cons: does not make sense to use miles and points: need to buy food, and food and water may not be very safe.
2. Barbados: great reviews in Coconut hotel, but have to pay; Hilton - no rooms for that period. No sense to use miles for flight and buy hotel. Expedia flight/hotel deal is almost same price as only flight.
3. Brazil in general: not sure about safety.
4. Argentina: do not know much and not sure where to go, Buenos Aires or elsewhere to see places.
5. Hawaii: we went there last New Year. Awesome, but need something else for a change, especially with a long flight.
6. Europe: cold or cool that time, right?
