It was "River of Jordan" ("there is only one river..."). When you get up to play, be careful your guitar doesn't knock out Lisa's IV!

Carl, et al.
Thanks for all the great advice so far. I'm feeling a little better about making this work.

Unfortunately, I'm not recognizable enough to get by on good looks and a free CD, unless the FA's have been spending a lot of time digging in the obscurity/poverty bin of itunes.

I'll pack it like i'm gate checking my child, and I'll do a lot of praying. Thanks. If anyone will be in Berlin next week, come check out a show. I'm buying.

Really?

Very interesting! Thanks for the info. I'll look into it, though it's too late for an upcoming flight where the only good options were a DL nonstop or a connection through LHR, and half the band are booked on the connection because of just this reason.

You know.. this would be a good solution to the over-litigiousness problem in the US... just have cute girls with French accents apologizing for broken sidewalks, slip and falls, defective products etc.
Must be cheaper than all those multi-million dollar payouts... and it would help with France's unemployment problems as well!! :p :D

Thank you for the vote of confidence, but given my own personal feelings about politics and politicians, even the slightest expression of interest in running for any elected position would immediately render me unqualified and unfit to hold office.

Likewise, I have vowed never again to vote for anyone who is interested in holding office. I will write in your name. How's that?

Perhaps a political appointment. I will be meeting with an employee of the state this weekend ...

or, was she singing, "I gave my love a cherry that had no stone..." and John Belushi came along in his toga, smashed the guitar and said, 'Sorry.'" :D

In 1991 I traveled with a Russian hand painted Balalaika (Gypsy guitar) from a visit to the former USSR, and it kept banging into the seatbacks on every seat as I moved down the isle. Like some cartoon, I was saying "sorry" to everyone as I made my way to my seat in the back and it banged lightly on each seattop's edge making the person sitting there at the isle wince at me. :D

I checked my White Falcon when I flew only once. That was 20 years ago. I don't know what I would do now.

Well... I suppose suppose an exception could be made for dog catcher.. I've always loved dogs...

hey wait a minute!

I'm certain that an exception could be made for Director of the Office of State Liability Reduction. I would be delighted to participate in interviewing staff applicants.

(Uh oh, I seem to be channeling a certain FTer here...My apologies to the OP for taking this thread into Omni-land -- and to Dovster for stealing his schtick. :p )

Where are you playing and when?

RustyC May 4, 2007 4:38 pm

Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug.

Sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue.

Sometimes you're the luggage bin, sometimes you're the guitar.

(sorry, couldn't resist) :p
