I'll be heading to Barrow, AK, US (~71°N) this summer.
Decided to quote this one as it is very similar to mine:

North: Healy, AK (just north of Denali)
South: Queenstown, NZ
East: Pretty Pathetic. Looks like somewhere in Austria--let's say Salzburg (~13°E)
West: Also Pathetic. Singapore (~103°E)

Oop: US-Centric view of East & West.

I really must visit the south island of our neighbors. Or better yet patagonia.

I do much better with the lowest and highest points ON THE GROUND......

Dead Sea -394m
Everest Base Camp Tibet 17200m

Happy wandering

That height (or something like it) was the usual cruising altitude of Concorde aircraft - I think you mean 17200 feet, roughly 5300m.

I guess that would have to be Norway and Sydney (though it feels like Bali was my southernmost point - perhaps because it is one of my favorite spots in the world!).

Northernmost: Nome, Alaska, USA
Southernmost: Cape Apollo, Victoria, Australia

I think Svalbard is the most northerly point easily accessible and the North Pole the absolute northerly point. For the south, I think it's Puerto Williams, Chile as the most southerly point easily accessible and Antarctica as the absolute southernmost.

My most easterly point is Auckland, New Zealand and westernmost point is Honolulu.

Did I have to get out of the plane??

If not,

North - about 200 miles south of the North Pole (UA 800 -JFK-NRT)

South - Auckland. New Zealand

If I had to get out of the plane. South is the same, North is Helsinki.

Assuming on the ground:

Northernmost is St. Petersburg, Russia (59°48'01"N). In a couple of weeks I'm going to Fairbanks, which is 64°48'54"N.

Southernmost is Omaru, NZ (44°58'12"S at the airport, though I did go to the 45 South monument)

Farthest north: Kviskjelodden -- it a point farther north than Nordkapp (North Cape), accessible by a 9 km. hike starting from a parking lot 2 km. south of Nordkapp.

Farthest south: Canberra, A.C.T., Australia (or the highways to the southeast)
