ID this airline?

Okay folks,

Maybe somebody here can help me ID the marking on this aircraft.

I'm totally curious and it's bugging me now.

Yesterday (Feb 7) I was on the 405 passing SNA and saw a large aircraft (only caught a brief glimpse...busy driving...) sitting on the tarmac by the S/B MacArthur exit exhaust shields. It had a bright green neon tail with the white outline of a design similar to Air New Zealand's logo on it. I think it was a 757. It clearly had windows, so it wasn't a cargo jet.

Anybody know what this was?

How about Air New Zealand

Or possibly Thai Airways International

There are not any international airlines listed on the SNA website, so it is really odd.

Anybody who knows anything about SNA (John Wayne Airport...in the very wealthy enclave of Orange County, CA), knows there is no way an international airline is flying in there with a big plane. They complain to the "n'th" degree about 757's going in there as it is!

I think it's a B-757 belonging to a member of the Saudi Arabian Royal Family.

Nuthin yet.

Sorry I don't have a better description. I've been flipping through airl*****.net (are we allowed to say that? ) and still can't find anything that looks similar.

I distinctly remember it being a bright neon green tail, so it's not America West or a Frontier aircraft.

Thanks,
Steve

Could it have been an old Song plane? I think Song flew 757s, and they had bright green tails with a white swirly thing...

Song!

Yup, that's it.

I don't think I ever recall seeing a Song aircraft before.

Thanks!

I don't believe NZ has any 757 in their fleet.

First thing I thought of. Are there any pink ones left? (or were there ever pink ones? Was it all part of a dream?)

There was one pink Song plane. It was painted in the special livery for breast cancer awareness. It is now wearing a similar Delta livery.
