Looking for resource detailing overhead bin sizes

Is there a resource (website or other) that shows the size of overhead bins on different airlines and planes? I've not been able to find one yet.

My current carry-on has fit on most of my flights (especially AA), but there have been a few planes where I've had to turn it sideways for it to fit. I'm considering getting another bag and want to avoid getting something too big or needlessly small.

I have had similar thoughts...I called AA and they told me the size of a couple of their regional jet bins and I was able to purchase a bag that I know will fit.

I ordered online and after I received the bag I see the dimensions on the website where INSIDE dimensions instead of outside dimensions. I just hope my bag will fit in an RJ...I guess I could always valet it though.

Squishy duffel bags, backpacks, and messenger bags have a better chance of being squished to fit in spaces that seem "just slightly too small".

myfrogger - I'll probably follow your lead and contact a couple of airlines to get bin size info directly. Good luck with the new bag.

tjl - The majority of my travel is on business so a rigid roller bag is much more convenient.
