security mesh for bags. allowed?
I have been told of some sort of security mesh that can be wrapped around backpacks and locked. Has anyone heard of such a thing? and are they allowed to be used on checked bags on EU and US flights?
There have now been too many occasions where things have been taken out of my backpack and I would like to better protect it when I fly. Thanks in advance... |
Perhaps you mean devices like those described here?

And I guess a TSA lock would be useless in the EU. It is just annoying that stuff is being taken out of my bag all the time. A few days ago on Rome - Glasgow, nothing was taken, but it showed up on the carosel with a lot of the zippers unzipped. I wish there was some way to avoid this.... |

A strong (rubble / garden) plastic bag & duct tape works or just get a cheap lightweight duffle bag and shove your pack into that.
And don't put anything you can't afford to lose into checked luggage |
