On a 747 OS
All the talk of the 747-800 has me excited but I realized I've never taken a trip on on old school 747. Flying from SEA/PDX what would be my best bet to get on a 747?

There aren't any 747 flights from PDX, and there is only one from SEA, BR to TPE. They usually have the lowest prices to Asian destinations, and their E+ product is quite good and priced competitively, but they aren't part of any alliances. You have a much wider selection of destinations in Asia and Europe when flying via LAX or SFO.

More than one out of seattle:
KAL218 is a 744 from Seattle to Incheon
EVA31 is a 744 from Seatle to Taipei

I thought the OP was referring to 747 classics, like the 747-200.

NW may be your best bet (so to speak) for finding a 747-200 from the US.
