There is enough traffic as it is we dont need more people to fall in love with the city!

LOL, other than the traffic, I really like L.A. Along with SF, Chicago, NYC and Boston, makes up the PhlyingRPh Real American City collection.

Virginia Beach. I almost could not believe it is considered a vacation spot.

You gotta wonder how many people go to LA and make two big mistakes:

- Spend time downtown, thinking "this is LA"
- Go to Hollywood, thinking same.

Agree with the others; but I suppose it's like any city - if you go where most tourists/visitors go, you're not likely to discover or enjoy yourself much.

Youngstown, Ohio and Barstow, California.

LA has some really great spots (many tend to center within a 10-mile radius of Wilshire), but the fact that it, for the most part, is not a city is what sucks.

In 10 years my opinions about LA should change, after the Expo Line and the Wilshire subway is built.

Agree totally, unfortunately!

Minneapolis - we went for the winter festival to see the ice sculptures and it was 50 degrees. The puddles weren't very impressive.

^ Excellent point. You never get a true feeling of a city by sitting in art galleries and the "local markets". Youve got to get your hands dirty.

I hate:
Dallas
San Jose

For everyone that hates LA do you just go around the airport and/or downtown? Or do you hate Manhattan Beach, Hermosa, Santa Monica, I could go on and on? It's a fun place but it is spread out you need to know where to go and stay when there.

Let me put a third in for Los Angeles, CA. Just look at the airport... something straight out of a 70s movie.

Were you disappointed with the Twin Cities, or was it just the weather?
