Are seats always numbered using the same system?
Apologies if this has been asked before, I did a search but nothing turned up.
On every plane I've ever flown, the seats have been numbered the same way: A-X beginning on the left (when facing forwards) 1-N front to back Any variations out there? Also - I've always boarded the plane from the left side (again facing forward). Have you ever boarded from the other side? |
Some don't have a row 13, some do. Some a/c skip a letter across the row ie: AC DEF.
I've boarded from the left, right and rear. I've never seen lettered rows and numbered seats. I've never seen high to low going front to back or the equivalent in seat-naming. But then, I've never flown Aer Elbonia so my experiences are far from comprehensive. The consequences are frightening. Imagine snagging 2B and finding it in the back of the jet when you board! |

Whther the sterring wheel is on the right or the left and 3. Whether the plane is metric or American. ;) |
