World Series bump ?
So it may be a little early to say...but I think it is going to be Detroit Tigers and NY Mets. :D
If so games 1 (SAT 10/21) and 2 (SUN 10/22) and if necessary games 6 (SAT10/28) and 7 (SUN 10/29) are in Detroit. Seems there will be a lot of NY Mets traveling to see the games in Detroit on Saturday and a lot of Detroit Tigers fans traveling to see the games in NYC on Sunday. You think the volume will be high enough to warrant a bump run? Anyone given this any thought between two WS cities before? |
Statistically the odds are not with you for a bump run. But a strategically placed MR may result in a higher than average chance of getting bumped! :D If you need the miles, I’d say go for it. If not, I’d pass.

I think it'd be a lot easier to pick up bumps on days when you know every traveler and their mom would be flying (e.g., Saturday/Sunday after Thanksgiving, week right before Christmas) than surrounding a single game. You really won't know how many of the opposing team's fan will show for the game, and the great majority of fans at Ford Field would naturally be Tiger's fans (so you wouldn't have as much of a mass exodus from DTW as say the day after the Super Bowl this year). |
