One 3rd Party site vs Another??

I am trying to book a flight from Gulfport-San Jose and can't get the best setup through delta.com. If I go through delta.com, the best return I can get leaves at 0855 and is a code share on CO. If I go through travelocity or expedia I can get the same delta flight outbound, but can get a CO flight leaving at 1235 out of San Jose for a couple bucks cheaper. I would like the later flight for the fact I can sleep in a little after a long night of partying, but don't know if one 3rd party site offers any advantages over another...any help would be nice! Thanks

Your original hunch was correct: Whenever possible, try to book directly through the airlines -- this will save you some money, and often you'll be getting some bonus miles. Avoid the thir party sites alltogether, if possible!

That being said, you should be able to buy any itinerary on delta.com, if it shows up elsewhere. Try to search by schedule, and piece the trip together. Good luck!

I've tried that...no luck for whatever reason. I think I'll try calling. Are all DL flights codeshared with CO and vice versa?

As this isn't really MR related, I'm going to move this to TravelBuzz. Please continue discussion there.

Thanks!
