Search on friend.

Of places I've never lived, Philadelphia. A great city that doesn't even realize it, let alone constantly tell you how great it is.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to New Orleans, Louisiana, home of the hits. And for those of you visiting from out of town -- heh heh -- welcome to the third world."

Introduction by one of the members of Galactic, a New Orleans-based jazz-funk ensemble.

New York is the center of the universe and has to be my favorite city. Having said that, I love to visit San Francisco and Washington, DC.

GOOD!

If we were to each disregard the city we live in, I would agree with you 100%. Either way, New York is at the top of the list.

I live in montreal and I've never seen QB as a short for Quebec. It's always either QC or PQ.

I have to say that I really like Montreal, but then again that's where I live. I'm also in love with NYC and of course LA (well, the LA area).

I can understand why a lot of people like Quebec city; it's very European and different form other north american cities. Personally, though, having grown up in europe, I find it quite normal/boring.

I third Santa Fe- great food, culture, and art. The jewelry is amazing, and very unique. Great Mexican food!
Colorado Springs is pretty nice, but the traffic is not. Great scenery, hiking, variety of foods, parks, music, historical sites, etc.
Kansas City area and Lawrence KS: GREAT food, beautiful, lots of fountains in KC, major sports teams, great shopping. Lawrence has a great downtown with lots of unique shops and restaurants. It reminds me of my home, Sioux Falls.

I would like to be the first to nominate Sioux Falls, SD: very laid back atmosphere, friendly people, great Native American culture, art and events, the Big Sioux River falls and dells, quartzite quarries, beautiful farmland, county fairs, the RibFest, rodeos, just to name a few.
go ahead, laugh all you like . But it won't cost you much to have a good time there... and if you happen to score an invitation to dinner with a farm family, be prepared for some good home cooking! If you're lucky it will be steak!

For a cultural driven city in the continent, my vote would go to it as well. ^
