Works fine, I've been using that size for years. You have to stay alert- if the guy in front of you suddenly reclines the seat can catch your monitor.

Phone Etihad and request your seat. Whether they will give bulkhead seats before the flight I would guess not - but it's worth a try. I only have experience of requesting club seats.

The experience I have had of Etihad in club has been very good. They changed our seats as they knew that one of the screens was not working. It took some time to sort as they did not want to move regular travellers but we did get it resolved before we flew.

I have done it with an 15'' HP laptop on TG (BKK - MUC).

It is very narrow and not a very relaxed writing, especially if the seat in front of you is reclined, but it is possible. Put it on you lap, not on the tray table.

Working for 120 minutes until my batteries was so low, that I could not continue to work.

Two thing that I've learned when using a laptop in coach:

1. Politely inform the person in front of you that you are using a laptop, and you don't mind if they recline...but please give me some notice!!

2. Use the laptop on your lap not the tray table. Most 15 inch screens will tend to catch just under the tray table latch and if the person in front of you suddenly reclines, your screen will snap like a twig! Had this happen a few years ago and unfortunately the computer needed a new screen. I ended up pitching it and getting a new computer.
