Validation Stickers
Hey everyone,
I had brought up a similar issue earlier on, but I now have more information... I was wondering if anyone could please explain to me how validation stickers work. I am currently holding a ticket for a YYZ-BA-LHR-EK-DXB flight. However, the YYZ-LHR coupon has an X in front of it (meaning no stopover allowed, I was told.) I apparantly have to pay the taxes of landing in Heathrow, and then a validation sticker will be applied since the fare allows unlimited free stopovers. Is this literally a sticket that they add on? I also want to change the LHR-DXB segment from EK to VS (this is allowed according to the fare rules, and the fare doesn't change.) I was told that this also needs a validation sticker. Where would I get this done? Would I go to the issuing airline's (BA?) office? Would I need to get the ticket re-written to show the coupon as VS OPEN rather than EK OPEN? Cheers |

It's probably easiest to have it done at BA's office. However, the airline which is to operate the current (next) flight, should be able to do it as well. Cheers |

I now feel incredibly stupid, because I just remembered that I also changed flights on the outbound. They ripped out the BA coupon, and issued an e-ticket for that portion. Cheers |
