what do you do if your seatmate is watching adult videos on his laptop computer?
what do you do if your seatmate is watching adult videos on his laptop computer? it was some softcore porn...
this was on the upper deck business class section of a trans-Pac flight.(UA) I didn't really care because I was concentrating on my own movie(Flightplan) on my portable DVD player. Besides, his screen was tilted towards him and he had headphone on.
However, I noticed that the kid sitting behind the guy was trying watch it as well... the kid was probably 10 to 14 years old. His mother was sitting next to him, but she had eyeshades on and appeared to be in deep sleep.
what would you guys do in a situation like this?

Wouldn't this be considered illegal on land? Or does it become okay once the plane is airborne and in international airspace?

I remember a similar thread somewhere on ft a while ago where someone openly read adult magazines (playboy?)... it was pretty controversial and interesting - a search will give you lots to read.

I've got better things to do than worry about some kid watching some soft porn. As someone else has said he's probably got around to looking for it on the net anyway...If the kid was younger than you suggest I'd probably have mentioned it to the FA.

Personally, I think it's in poor taste of the passenger to watch content of that nature in a public setting. I'd probably just ignore it, but if I had a child with me (I'm not a parent but if I were travelling with my nephew for example) I'd speak with him directly and politely ask him to save it for later. If he wouldn't comply, I'd ask a bit more persuasively, then if I didn't get results, I'd go to the F/A.
I'm not anti porn by any stretch, but watching it in an aircraft is a bit much...

Hey, if the guy actually has the guts to watch that in a pretty public place, it's his own embarrassment....I wouldn't bother telling anyone anything. And since it was softcore, I really doubt the kid will have a permanent trauma from seeing a bare breast.

Now that I think of it, I don't know if that video would qualify as "softcore" or not. IIRC, it was a Penthouse-like video with two girls. They were completely nude and licking each other in a very explicit 69 position....(and more... but I don't think I should go into that here...)
The only reason I didn't do anything was that I wanted to avoid embarrasing the little kid. Although I still think it was inappropriate for the guy to be watching porn in public.

screen was tilted towards him, you really didnt care.. but you seem to have watched much of it. why didnt you just ask for a set a ear phones ?? It doesnt seem like it bothered you that much.
