Booking on orbitz
 

I've noticed that orbitz does sell some good deals on airlines like SQ and CX that have tight rules regarding earing miles. Is there anyway to find the booking class when making such bookings, has anyone seen a note saying that miles cannot be earned for this particular flight and has anyone been in for a surprise? THanks.

The booking class is available to view before you purchase by clicking on the link entitled "Rules and Restrictions." I don't recall ever seeing links saying that miles can't be earned, though.

However, there are revenue booking classes in which no miles are earned. You have to look at the rules of the FF scheme you'd like to put the miles into to find out whether the booking class earns or does not earn miles.
