Cool stuff to do at NRT...

Hi,

Going to change planes in NRT for the first time... looks like about two hours at the airport... anything cool in the airport? Or do I really not have anytime to do anything but find my next gate? ORD-NRT-BKK UA

Try to see the RCC beer machine perhaps?
Also, you may want to ask or check the Japan forum.

If I have time between flights I like to grab a bowl of nameyaki udon and a Kirin.

I tried to use every single moving walkways at NRT last time I was there. :) It's a surprisingly big airport, I almost missed my flight.

I know the CX lounge has free WIFI, so there may be something similar available elsewhere in the terminal too.

Cleanliness is next to...

If you will have arrived from North America, you may be feeling somewhat grungy by that time. There are low-cost showers available, 300 Japanese yen or US$5, for 30 minutes. Liquid shampoo and soap are included in the price, as is a towel. Many here on this board forego browsing and such, and make a beeline instead towards the showers. Whatever you choose, enjoy the transit connection!

Thank you for the suggestions on the showers... I know that I would love one!

Awesome!

If it's UA 881, the flight is direct ORD-BKK with a stop at NRT! There is no plane change!

I second the shower idea. I had a 4 hour connection there a few days ago (is that too little time to head out to Narita anyone?) and took advantage of the showers. Other than that, I like to grab a quick bite and use my laptop.
