Question on Air India Business class

Hi All:
I posted a similar thread on the "Other Asian... " forum, but figured there might be others here at Travelbuzz who might be able to help.

I am considering flying Air India business class EWR-CDG-BOM on an upcoming trip. Does anyone have any recent experiences with AI? WOuld you know if they have upgraded their C class? Is it so shabby that I fork out the extra 1000$ and fly BA or AF?
