9.2 in SIN for a night..
 

Hi FTers,

I have a stopover in Singapore on the 9th and just wanted to know if anybody can recommend affordable accomodation near Orchard for that one night.

Secondly.. has anyone been to the French Hawker in the Little India area lately? if yes what is the exact location and does it still live up to its name?

the backup in singapore (if priceline doesn't work) is the ymca international house which is probably the plushest ymca in the world. it's at the very start of orchard, not far from raffles

The French Stall, 544 Serangoon Rd. Been there and I thought it was crap -- the food is mediocre, it's not all that cheap, and there's just so much better local food to be had...
