Surcharge: Return Subjourney Check
 
Question for the experienced travel agents. Need to travel Moscow to SIngapore. ITA and booking engines like AMEX Platinum are pricing in an extra surcharge called "Subjourney Check" at 1600 USD.

Can you explain what a Subjourney Check is? Can I circumvent this surcharge by buying SVO-BKK on one ticket and BKK-SIN on a second ticket?
