best way to track United flights?
A couple of days someone posted a website which would chart all the flights for the past couple of days, and the current day... So you could check to see how late a flight is going to be, if it's in the air, or see how it was rerouted around weather.
Could someone repost that site? Or their favorite place for doing this? |

Could someone repost that site? Or their favorite place for doing this? It was courtesy of Flyinryan. :) |

You can also try:

Anyone know a good site that's WAP enabled so I can get to it easily on my cell phone? Or are those ones above good on cell's too?

Since this really isn't UA specific, am moving to Travel Buzz
Moderator, United |
Well, I am really only interested in United, but if it's a general site that works for all airlines, that's great too...

Here's a good site as well...

Another: If you go to Google and put in a airline code/flight number (e.g., "UA 2") and then click on the link for fboweb.com that come up, you can get flight tracking superimposed over google maps which is very cool.

Google is a good way to turn up flight tracking information when you're online withut your bookmarks.
1. go to google.com 2. type in, say, "CO 1881" 3. it should bring up something like "track status of Continental Air Lines flight 1881 on Travelocity - Expedia - fboweb.com" 4. click on one of those |

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/LOF7994 You need to know whether it is Trans-States, Chautauqua, Air Wisconsin etc...or just do a search by airport |
For the growing breed of Mac users...
If you are a Mac user, there is a Dashboard Widget called flight tracker. It comes free with Mac OS X 10.4
You just put in the airline (optional), start city, end city. It shows all possible flights with dep and arr time. You then just click 'track flight' on the one you want. It shows a map, graphically depicting the location of the plane, including stop over airports, the number of minutes to schedule and the terminal. Its really quick and easy to use. |
