airline on A&E

...Do any of you watch the show "Airline" (on A&E)? It's the show that shows the in and outs of Southwest's jobs. It's a great show.

I'm wondering because A&E canceled the show... I've started a petition against the canceling of the show, if you're interested, you could sign and pass it around.

Have a good day.

Bon Voyage.

There are also some other threads here in regards to both the European and US versions of the show.

Canada Flyer Jan 15, 2006 4:06 pm

The Europe one is "Airline UK" (For USA on-lookers, "AIRLINE" for local residents), another Europe one is "Airport". The American one is "Airline"-same in Canada and Mexico.

I know that there is a new show on entitled "Flight Attendant School" that talks about want-to-be flight attendants for Fronteir.

Nope - different versions are called "Airline" in different markets. For example in NZ, the UK version is called simply "Airline".

>A&E canceled the show...

I enjoyed the first season, but as a "plane geek" the kinds of things that would have interested me just didn't make for good television, and were never shown. I wanted to learn about airline operations - Routes, staff scheduling, how you turn a 737 around. I wanted to learn what SW does when they strip down a plane for service and put it back together again etc. I wanted them to follow a flight - From the craft arriving at the gate to its landing at another gate and push-back for a new flight. EVERYTHING that happens, from passenger loading to catering, to filing a flight plan to comms with traffic control etc. - Then what happens in the air with ATC routing etc.

They never showed much of any of that - Just drunks and white trash, so I gave up on the show.

Cheers,
Geoff in Vancouver

ya, a little bit of that goes a long way. I must admit watching my fair share of episodes, but I'm not heartbroken that it's been cancelled. I never could understand why WN allowed themselves to be filmed in that manner. It really did not present them in a very flattering light.

the first few episodes was good, after that you knew that the show was gonna be about a bunch of drunks being denied boarding.

i enjoyed airport much more. especially the immagration part. :p

I never cared for "Airline" much. Too many drunks and white trash! :td: But from what I've seen, "Flight Attendant School" shows more promise! At least they get into some of the other side of flying. ^
