garment bag as carry-on

I've seen people carry on garment bags before. But I don't know if I can still carry my garment bag on. No flames please.

I'd say: it all depends.....I have a tri-fold which is nice for carry on as it is easily "legal"....But not sure how careful the airlines are being with the duo-fold, at least those that can hold 30 days worth of suits/shirts!! :D

Best wishes, Dave

I must admit that I gave a rude look to a passenger the other day who brought a 2-fold garment bag on-board. The thing was huge, and the FA asked him to check it. I just get tired of people that have no clue.

That's not to say that you are one of these people ;) but if the size of the bag doesn't look ridiculously big, I would just go for it.

I think most airlines have a "sizing bin", if it fits in there, then it is a go. If not...it is a check in bag!
