Point taken but I've made it from DUB to my home in Wicklow in 2hrs & that includes picking up luggage, transiting to the car park & driving 60 miles on more than one occasion.

I can't see it taking 1h30 to get through DUB unless the airport is particularly congested & there's a massive queue for bags

i guess some people just like the hassle :rolleyes:

it certainly isn't viable for the business traveller, neither would I bother training it anywhere past dublin, but for the leisure traveller it'll be a lot nicer than the inside of a tube train/stansted express/ryanair cabin/beautiful dublin airport..

There's also the point that some people do enjoy train and boat travel. There's a number of times I've done that instead of flying.

Admittedly, on two of those occasions, it was to avoid 'Babyflot' Yak-42s... But I wouldn't mind doing the Dublin thing overland. I have a vague plan to do that to go and see some GAA games this year.
