Will airline or TSA have issues with this?
 

OK, a weird question.

we are staying with a friend In the UK next month.

she is into spiders skulls and goth like things.

we wanted to get her a skull. like a cattle skull, monkey or even replica human skull or something similar. And we're prepared to pay some decent money for it.
SO we dont want to pay and have hte AIrline or TSA take it away.

I don't see why they would. When you think about it, why would they? you can buy them in stores, so it seems to me you're cool. You could always say its for anatomy, or a western loving friend. Tell them you work for the INS and they'll probably want little to do with you.

I would check with customs first. After all, a skull is an *ANIMAL* product.

you can buy a frying pan in a store, but the TSA recently confiscated one of thsoe from carry on.

As for importing animal remains you might want to contact British Customs.

Assuming it fits in the normal luggage allowances, the airline and TSA shouldn't have a problem.

Transporting real animial skulls will be subject to customs, though, and might be a big hassle. I doubt you'll be able to take any cow product with you, thanks to the mad cow embargos in effect.

Replicas should be fine.

I would suppose that you can get it past the airline and/or TSA. British Customs will probably be your biggest hurdle. Some googling turned up this site and I think it might prove helpful.
