Cheap Flight exAsia or exEurope to KIX and NRT
 

Hi there. I need a cheap flight from Asia (e.g. SIN, HKG, Seoul, Shanghai or Bejing) to KIX and back from NRT.

Didn't find any suitable rate. Any advice? Maybe from any other country in Asia or even from Australia?

I am planning to fly with Swiss to Asia and then from Asia to Japan either with the cheapest possible economy fare. Or maybe someone wants to give me an award Asia-Japan against an award Europe-Europe?

If I do end up going plans are like this:

SK flight to PVG (booked, special FT fare). Take a domestic up to PEK (approx 40USD). Then take NWA from PEK to NRT for about 230USD and then either ANA down to KIX or take the train. Cheap fares in china found on elong.net. That is the cheapest option I have found for my case.

Awards with M&M not possible?
 

I tried to book with an award from SIN to NRT with StarAlliance but there is no availablility next July and August.

Is this possible? Any experience on that from M&M flyers?

I found a LH flight from ewr-fra-nrt and back to muc-jfk in first on the 10th of jan

If expedia.co.uk honour this then I think I finally have my excuse my excuse to use the BKK EK/UA RTW ticket. Bizclass for well under 2000 pounds starting in Bangkok - yes thanks!

Shouldn't this all be discussed in the Asia, Hilton, or the ongoing thread in MR Forum . This thread is not about NH, it is about buying air tickets in to get to a the Hilton in Osaka and Tokyo.

My moderation powers are only good in the Alaska forum, but I have reported this thread to those who have...influence...in this forum to move it to a more appropriate one.

I think that the best place for this thread is in the Travel Buzz forum. It doesn't appear that the OP is particular as to which airline he flies, but rather wants to find the most affordable way to get to Japan. Yes, he wants to use his Hilton nights, and yes, he found those nights in the mileage run forum - but neither forum are the best place to discuss flights to get there.

If there are better suggestions as to where this question can be answered, please PM me.

Flights in and out of Taiwan are fairly inexpensive... that would be the first place that I would look.

You can go TPE-NGO on UA and then take the train to Osaka... or look into flights on EVA from TPE to KIX, NRT, or NGO.

I don't think any of the low fare airlines hit Japan yet, however.

Flights in and out of Japan -tend- to be expensive elsewhere in Asia. Usually cheaper to go to LAX than HKG often enough.

HKG/Macao are pretty decently priced to the rest of SE Asia through Jetstar and AirAsia though.

I think that our friend Hans should buy a Biz Class ticket to Tokyo or Osaka, enjoy the $2 Hilton Hotel with breakfast, find a job in Japan, and still save a bounch of money. :D :D

There are no real baraings. All I figured out so far
- Swiss either from WAW or ZRH for around 700 EUR in Y
- exTIP in F to SIN and for 30k miles an award in Y to Japan
- exEurope Award with StarAlliance in Y for around 80k miles.

Any better suggestions?
