Do not take a taxi to your LAX airport hotel. Most hotels have free shuttle buses that arrive every 10-15 mins at the red shuttle bus stop outside baggage claim. You do not need to call the hotel.

If you are visiting Los Angeles, you will need to rent a car. The car rental companies have free shuttle buses, they stop at the purple sign.

I would third the LAX Hampton Inn. Decent rooms, very decent breakfast, good shuttle, great staff.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my post concerning lax hotels, I do appreciate the information. Good to know what a dump Furma is, or was. After reading post from mbstone, I will try priceline. Thanks agin.
