I agree, but this thread really should be in OMNI.

Not necessarily the entire thread. There is a really good discussion here regarding airline policies and dress codes and what is and isn't acceptable for on-duty airline crew. Unfortunantly, there are a few people on this thread who have continued to push their political agendas rather than staying on the topic.

I disagree, everyone is different and it doesn't harm me if people wish to show it. aaupgrade put it much better than I could, so I'll leave it at that.

I work as a Ramp Lead in CVG, and I can tell you we can't even wear a Reds, Bengals hat on game days. I personally see nothing wrong with it, but I enforce the rules regardless of my personal beliefs. Our outer most layer of clothing MUST be uniform, our undershirts MUST be White or Black (if they show). Airlines DO have a strict uniform policy. I have read the guidelines, and most all (with the possible exception of Southwest) are roughly the same. There are a few exceptions i.e. rain gear and extreme cold weather hats, but just about everything else is regulated and covered in the policy handbook. Heck my airline even published a separate handbook complete with pics of appropriate/inappropriate hair styles, piercings, hats, coats, shoes, etc... you name it.

Well for starters... back in 2000 Canada and Spain had not yet legalized same sex marriage... So yes the world has changed... It was also a safer place.. Mr. Clinton's foreign policy was not aggressive towards other nations... I don't think we can say the same today.
Mr. Clinton tried to bring about change especially with Gays in the military but he had to compromise in order to get the bill passed. Don't ask don't tell.

He was forward thinking... I have a different view from outside the USA. I think most foreign FT'ers share the same view. Just look at who posted and what they posted....

As I mentioned before I don't think any pins of any sort should be placed on any uniforms PERIOD.
