Delsey are far better than Samsonite. Case closed (bad pun I know). :D
|
I've had a hard side Samsonite case crack on the corner. We contacted American Airlines and they sent a Fedex truck to pick up the suit case. It came back in a few days completely repaired.
I didn't believe the repair could be made and expected that they would actually replace the case but they repaired it so that it looked like it had never been damaged. |
I owned a Samsonite hard-side suitcase until early this year. I log over 100K miles a year and this sucker lasted for 1-1/2 years. I didn't even bother to claim the warranty since they don't make Samsonite like they used to. I remember our family owning a Samsonite suitcase in the 70s and we've had it for years. I remember the claim Samsonite made that their suitcases are air tight that they will float in water.
Anyway, I've given up on hard-side suitcases since baggage handlers seem to have fun throwing them around, on the assumption that they're durable. So I replaced it with TravelPro soft-side suitcase. Only problem is it has so much room that I hardly pack it full. |
I love my travelpro luggage but if were buying again would buy the luggage that is hard sided on one side and soft on the other, Delsey might be the brand. it is great because you can pack any fragile items on the hard sided side and still have room to expand on the soft sided side. The weight is better than the full hard sided case. Does anyone know this brand? I have seen a few at the airport.
