What does Priceline do when a hurricane strikes?

Have a PCLN booking at the Omni Cancun in about 3 weeks. I also know that Hurricane Emily is going to go right over Cancun in about 4 days.

If the hotel gets busted up and isn't accepting guests / is of an inferior quality to a 4*, is there any restitution, or do I pay PCLN regardless?

Worried about a nice beach getting eroded away.... Thanks again.

Although it's never happened to me, I would assume that you would get a refund if the hotel is completely destroyed. If part of the hotel is damaged but they are still accepting guests, hmmmm, might be a bit of a gray area. If the hurricane simply damages the beach near the hotel, then I don't think you will get a refund.

4 days??? Try 4 hours! Emily will pass over the Yucatan tonight. You are probably better off waiting until at least tomorrow before booking. That way there should be some news reports of the level and extent of damages rather than relying on an "Acts of God" clause from Priceline.

Just my 2 cents...
