Help!

Hey everyone,
My quesiton might be pretty simple, but I'm a bit lost (clearly I'm new at this). I am trying to fly to paris at the end of august, and I found fares on expertflyer.com. But unfourtanetly I have no idea what to do with them. I saw that there was a fare basis, and I'm not sure if the idea is for me to call the airlines with that code and that I will get that fare or what????? Please help!
Thanks

I'm not too clear on what you meant by "found fare on www.expertflyer.com but don't know what to do with them". You found a good fare but don't know the booking class for that fare, thus are not aware if the fare is mileage accurrable?

I'm sorry, I think I should have clairified. I was searching on www.expertflyer.com and when you enter in your departure and arrival information (location, date, time, etc.), the website retuns flight information for several airlines (class, layovers, meals, jet...). Of which you can select to find the price of the flight as the airline has it listed. The information given is "fare basis", "airline", "booking class", "type", "fare", "rules" and "routing". So I'm stuck since I have all that information, but I don't know how to use it! Is it possible for me to call the airline with the "fare basis" and book that flight? I hope that clairifies it.
Thanks!

Suggestion 1 - you'll get more responses with a less vague title to your post. Most folks won't read one titled "help".

Suggestion 2 - I'm not familiar with expertflyer.com and too lazy to look. I'll assume that you loaded dates, departure city and destination. I'll also assume it told you what airline will fly you there for the least $. Try that airline's website and see if you can get a fare match. Bingo.

Sounds like you found your own answer.

That's one way - call up the carrier and tell them your exact itinerary and ask for those fare codes if that's important. Otherwise - just look go to the website and ask for the lowest price.

Most people are concerned about Fare Basis for (changines, flexibility, ugradeability, elite perks, etc) otherwise other people want lowest price.

Welcome to FT!
