Funny you should mention this. Just last month I discovered the list on the website and downloaded it so I can keep a tally. I have only been to 40 so far:

Austria - 4C
Belgium - 3C
Canada - 1C, 1N
Czech Republic - 2C
Denmark - 1C
France - 1C (a couple more to be added after trip to Paris next week)
Germany - 2C, 1N, 1N/C
Hungary - 1C
Israel - 4C
Italy - 2C
Mexico - 1C
Netherlands - 1C
St. Lucia - 1N
Switzerland - 1C
UK - 4C
US - 3C, 5N

I was surprised at how few sites there are in the U.S. And most of them are Nature rather than Culture. Interesting.

Well, I'm not going to come close to others, but I'll be adding more and more of these since my girlfriend collects them (postcards as well as visits). I have at least seen sites in most of the handful of countries I've visited:

France: 2C
Japan: 2C
UK: 5C
USA: 3N (soon to be 4), 3C

While driving up to the Canadian Rockies, I was surprised to see that a list made up of the likes of the Taj Mahal, the Pyramids, and Yosemite, also includes something called Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump.

87 if I counted right -- I am getting old, so I have had time to work on the list although I never left the US (except Tiajuana) until I was 35 years old.

I will need to hurry if I am going to visit 87 more. We have begun to emphasize these sites in our travels.

I'm at 53 for the moment, though I should be adding another dozen or so in October.

Hey, that's on my list! Somehow I think the name sounds better in the native language.

That's an interesting thread. When I saw how many places other FTs have seen ... I guessed I have seen 10 or so.
Then I went through the list and counted mine: 61 places most of them in France, Germany, Italy and Spain ...

Same here, surprised myself with 55, and I hadn't even heard of UNESCO Heritage Sites until last year.

Have to admit we only experienced the Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump because we noticed a crowd of people wandering around an open field next to the highway and pulled over because we're nosy types.
