Help for a paper!
 

I am writing a shor paper on AZ crisis and I'm mentioning the global situation of airlines and I need to know when the 3 american carriers,UA,US,DL applied for the chapter 11.I'm not sure about AA,are they operating under chapter 11 too?can anybody(the attorneys!) give me a couple of quick facts about Ch 11?AZ problem arises from bad administration and the fact the the State still owns part of it.Now the EU Commission is evaluating AZ's Business Plan 2005-2008,which has been criticized by many carriers especially the LCC,given the fact that AZ's asking the government a 400M€ loan.Then add 9/11,tsunami,oil price and you end up with a cracked company.

Delta has not filed (yet), neither has American. US Airways is on it's second filing, the most recent in September of last year. A google search on the airline's name and "bankruptcy" will quickly get you the rest of the dates.

Thank you very much!I thought that DL filed because somebody wrote something in the DL forum but maybe it was just a prediction of somebody there...

DL has been seen their cash reserves deplete and their losses continue to pile up higher and higher. They may very well file at some point in the next 18 months.
